Good Evening Stingrays!

It was great to see everyone this evening at our meeting! Thank you parents, swimmers, and our awesome coaching staff - headed up by Coach Laura - for coming out in the rain! Here is a recap:

1. Introduction of board members: Laurie, Heather, Taylor, Briana, and David
2. Introduction of Coaching Staff: Head Coach Laura, Assistant Coach Vaas, Junior Assistant Coaches Kylee and Tiernee
3. Agreement with HOA about use of pool:
   1. $1500 fee this year: we’ve found sponsors to cover the fee so we didn’t have to increase registration costs (support sponsors when you can and thank them for their donation!) Sponsors banners should be hung on outside of pool during the first week of practice.
   2. Furniture must be returned to original location.
   3. Bathrooms must be left neat.
   4. Excess trash from swim team must be taken out.
   5. We have never had major issues before, but it is important to know that our use of the pool can be terminated if we do not abide by the terms of the agreement. 
4. Use of pool by families that don’t live in the neighborhood:
   1. Please monitor kids and observe all pool rules.
   2. No lifeguards on duty.
   3. Pool time is limited to practice time.
5. Practice starts Tuesday May 13th! We encourage everyone to be at as many practices as you can, but we know you have other things going on as well. Consistent practice builds skills and confidence. You do not need to message us know if your child will not be at practice.
   1. Tentative Practice Schedule
      1. 5-6 year olds: 5:30-6:00
      2. 7-10 year olds: 6:00-7:00
      3. 11 and up: 7:00-8:00
   2. Look for an email this weekend about siblings in different age groups practicing together-this will depend on how many kids we have in each age group.
6. Meets- swimmers will be "opted in" to every meet Within the Swimtopia app. If you know you won’t be there you need to go into Swimtopia and opt out.
7. Download Swimtopia app-free version works great, can do a 30 day trial once meets start.
   1. Turn on push notifications. It’s how we will communicate if we need to cancel practice or make last minute announcements.
8. All meet dates and times are loaded into Swimtopia.
9. Team pictures scheduled for June 7th (in Swimtopia as well).
10. Volunteering- we need timers, age group parents, awards, end of year party planning, concessions during home meet.
11. Meet Official training next week (need 1 or 2 volunteers)
    1. Wednesday, May 14th and Thursday, May 15th 6:15-7:45pm, Northside Swim Center, Frost room. 8400 N Loop 1604 W
12. Payment: if you selected paying by check you ccan also pay by Zelle using our email address. Paypal and square reader are also options. Payment must made by May 17th to continue on the team. This will help us cover insurance, fees to Northside, coaches, etc.
