Hello Stingray families!  Just a few mid-week updates before our season officially starts!

1. We are starting practice on TUESDAY 5/16 - I know I personally told some families 5/15 but I was wrong!  No Monday practices for our team!
   
2. Age bracket times are as follows:
   1. 5/6 - 5:30-6:00
   2. 7/8 - 6:00-6:45
   3. 9/10 - 6:45-7:15
   4. 11/12 - 7:15-7:45
   5. 13+ 7:45-8:15
      
3. Our Welcome Party will be on Saturday May 13th from 12-2 rain or shine! Please come join us at the Woodridge Pavilion - 11230 Woodridge Bluff.
   If the weather is OK, we will have the pool open for fun swim!
   Kona Ice will be there to provide shaved ice for all our swimmers and this is the time for everyone to have a reunion or introduction to our coaches and board members.  Light snacks will be provided as well.  You can also pay for your registration fees at the party.

4.  We are sad to say that one of our board members has "retired" from his position with us and we have an opening!  If you are interested in being on the swim team board, please let Katie and Heather know.  We will be happy to explain what is needed as a board volunteer. 
   
5. There is also a HUGE need for a stroke judge - this is a critical part of our meets and without one, we cannot host.  NISD is having classes for stroke judge on 5/19 and 5/23.  Check with Katie or Heather for more info.
   
6. Please download the Swimtopia app to your phone as I have learned I can do quick messages via that system that notify via push notifications!  This will be used for info on the go like weather cancellations.  See below for more info on the app.
   
7. Mark your calendars appropriately - we have a slightly different meet schedule this year - we have a Saturday morning away meet!  All meet and event info for the season is at https://woodridge.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
   
8. Finally, we do know that summer fun comes with costs and wanted to let the Stingray families know that we have scholarship funds available for families who are in a position of need.  Please reach out to Katie or Heather via email if you would like to be considered for a swimmer scholarship (even if you have already paid registration you can be considered).
